Kilronan House is an elegant Victorian house, built in 1853. We have two spacious en-suite rooms and a single room with separate private bathroom. It's situated in a quiet tree lined road in Bridge of Allan and there is ample off road parking in the grounds. The extensive breakfast menu including vegetarian options.

We are close to Stirling University and the National Wallace Monument. Bridge of Allan is a former Victorian Spa town and has strong associations with Robert Louis Stevenson and Charles Dickens. There is a lovely walk along the river on the old drove road to Dunblane. Here you can see a cave which is said to be the inspiration for Ben Gunn's cave in Treasure Island.

The village has numerous good restaurants and pubs within short walking distance of Kilronan House. We are an excellent base for the mountains and lakes of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, Fife fishing villages and St Andrews. From our local station there are frequent trains to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Many of our guests chose the train for a day trip to Edinburgh so as to avoid the traffic and parking problems in the capital. Castles abound in this part of Scotland and Stirling Castle with its Royal Palace is perhaps the grandest castle in Scotland. Just a few miles Bridge of Allan is Doune Castle which was used in the filming of Monty Python and The Holy Grail !
