A stay with Assya and Bruno (originally from Switzerland) at the Argentine Guest House is a unique and memorable experience. We offer you a sumptuous breakfast buffet every morning with fruit juices, yoghurt, fresh fruit salad, cereals, different cold meats, local cheeses, jams and marmalades, some of which are suitable for diabetics! There's also coffee and a choice of over 20 different loose teas. Plenty of choice for the non-meat-eaters.
All five rooms, tastefully decorated, are equipped with TFT-TV-sets, a Radio-Alarm with an integrated CD-Player, so you can take your favourite CDs and listen to them with plenty of time and tranquillity to enjoy them to the full.
We also share our family lounge to relax in and maybe find some necessary peace and quiet to read a good book. In the evening - or on rainy days - the tables in the dining room may be used to play board games, of which we have a few interesting ones to try.
If you arrive after 20.30 hours [on the last ferry to the island], we can usually offer some freshly cut sandwiches or a simple meal - this is because most other eating places would be closed by then. However, please book that well in advance if it is required.
There are a lot of good restaurants on Arran. One of the best is just next door to us, more are easily reched by foot in a few minutes. Due to really bad experiences, we do not allow our guests to eat take-away food in the bedrooms. However we offer you a table in the dining room with mats, plates, cutlery, glasses, a hotkeeping tray. All this for a minimal sum of £2 per Person.
Often referred to as "Scotland in Miniature", the Isle of Arran captures many aspects of Scotland's beauty as a whole, only within a small radius. There are sandy bays, wildlife in abundance, Bronze Age stone circles and 7 golf courses to challenge your talent and your fitness. Brodick Castle and the Whisky Distillery are famous Visitor attractions which you can also find on Arran. And do not miss the Burnside Gallery in Brodick for some of the best artwork of Arran's many artists.
