The Roxburgh is a welcoming family run guest house situated by the beach. It is also a good base for activities such as fishing, golf,walking etc.

Berwick-Upon-Tweed is a historic walled town steeped in history with much of the old walls still preseved. Markets are held on a Wednesday and Saturday in the town centre.

Places nearby include Holy Island, Alnwick, Bamburgh Castle and seahouses. Edinburgh and Newcastle are about 1hr drive or 40mins by train.

There is a good selection of golf courses nearby:- Goswick,Coldstream,Eyemouth and Magdalene to name a few. There is also horse riding and other outdoor pursuits near by. Families can also visit places like Holy Island, Haggerston Castle and Berwick holiday parks as a day visitor markets are held in Berwick on a Wednesday and Saturday.
