Oakthwaite House is a Victorian town house built only a five-minute walk from the town centre.

The location of our guesthouse in Keswick and in the Lake District National Park makes it an ideal base from which to explore and enjoy the many wonders of the northern Lakes.

We use high quality bed linen and furnishings in all our rooms. Along with the usual compliments tray, which includes herbal teas, and bottled water, each room, has a CD clock radio and a TV/DVD.

We also offer free wireless broadband internet access in all rooms*. *Subject to your laptop having a wireless card or adaptor.

Our breakfast menu includes juice, a choice of fruit, porridge or cereal, a Lakeland breakfast with real cumberland sausage and dry cured bacon or why not try our freshly made crepes with chocolate or American pancakes with maple syrup and crispy bacon!

On your way, you will pass a BP garage on your left, soon after you will go under a railway bridge. Take the fourth turning on the left after the railway bridge, at the Conservative Club. This is Greta Street. Helvellyn Street is the second street running across Greta street.

Turn left onto Helvellyn Street; Oakthwaite House is the third house on the left from the junction of Greta Street and Hellvellyn Street.
