A warm welcome awaits you at Lodge House, which is a comfortable B&B set in the beautiful Blackdown Hills in Somerset, just two minutes from the A303, yet in a peaceful setting, and also offering complementary therapies.
Lodge House dates back to the 1750's and retains fine original features. We are approx 750 feet above sea level here, and the air is clean and pure.
A footpath runs past our front door and the only traffic is the occasional walker or horse rider.
The views from here are amazing, the peace and tranquillity are second to none, making Lodge House B&B an ideal place for a stress-relieving break, away from the hustle and bustle of busy everyday life.
Lodge House B&B provides a peaceful setting for our guests to enjoy the many splendours of the beautiful Blackdown Hills.
When our guests arrive we want them to relax, leave their troubles at the door and step into a world of home comfort and rest.
As owners we intend to see that every attention is paid to detail and service.
We offer a full English breakfast each morning, with a vegetarian and light option, using local produce where possible, free range eggs from our own hens, honey from our bees, and home made preserves from our fruit trees and bushes when available.
The large south-facing, comfortable first floor guest bedroom, with its antique furniture and modern touches is ready to embrace the individual who is looking for peace and quiet, or the more adventurous person who likes to be active such as walkers and cyclists.
We have a foam chair bed that makes into a third bed for a child or small adult and also available is a travel cot for babies.
Adjacent is a private bathroom that has recently been refurbished to a high specification.
We offer complementary therapies such as Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Aromatherapy massage to guests at an additional cost and offer a discounted Therapeutic package, incorporating two nights B&B and two therapies.
