Woodlands is a very spacious, extremely comfortable and warm holiday cottage set amidst some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in Scotland.
It is a fantastic base for climbers, walkers and tourers. Apart from the multitude of Munros in Glenshiel itself (Five Sisters and Saddle being accessed directly from the house) there's a whole host of other walks including coastal, valley and woodland. Many other mountain ranges are accessible from the house.
Woodlands is also perfectly placed for touring the Highlands and Islands. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of Applecross accessed via the highest road in Scotland or take a cruise along Loch Ness and visit Urquhart Castle.
Closer to home there is the magical Eilean Donan Castle, the glorious Glenelg peninsular, the delightful Plockton or you may fancy going over the sea to Skye. Take a seal trip, sail in a glass-bottomed boat, go boating, pony trekking, mackarel fishing or just relax in the house and enjoy the fabulous views.
Other attractions include the nearby Falls of Glomach, the Iron Age Brochs of Glenelg and, of course, the abundance of wildlife the area has to offer. Golden eagles, pine martens, seals, porpoises, otters, wild goats and red deer have all been spotted in the vicinity. There was even a whale in nearby Loch Duich once!
