A former craftsman's cottage near the centre of Presteigne, sleeping up to 4, but just ideal for the lone visitor or a couple.
The cottage has been refurbished and refurnished to our usual high standards.
This cosy mews cottage was originally one of a row of workshops for the 18C ironmongers store. Tucked away in a secluded mews, it is hard to believe you are in the heart of the town, just behind the thriving High Street.
The cottage has delightful character with exposed beams, stone walls and a small patio. It also features modern central heating, fully equipped kitchen, LCD TV/DVD, and other modern conveniences. Whilst it only has one bedroom (making it an ideal retreat for a couple), there is also a bed-settee in the lounge.
There is a separate private small garden with decking area and dedicated parking space.
We greet each of our guests personally and can provide further information on the area and facilities on arrival. For more information about the cottage, Presteigne or the surrounding area, please fell free to contact us.
Presteigne itself is a fascinating little medieval market town right on the English border, with history and buildings dating back to the 14th century and once the county town of Radnorshire. Beautifully set in gently undulating countryside on what was the main London coach road to the West, Presteigne offers the timeless charm and tranquillity of Mid Wales less than 60 miles from Birmingham. This lovely area remains part of Mid Wales' unspoiled and calm, even at the peak of the tourism season. Visit Presteigne, and you'll be richly rewarded.
The cottage makes an ideal base for local walking, cycling or motoring tours of the Welsh Marhes and border country, or other parts of Wales.
Short breaks available. Please note that full week booking start Friday.
