Sabrina Cottage is a pretty Grade II Listed cottage overlooking the River Severn and situated in the heart of Bewdley, which was once described as "the most perfect small Georgian town in Worcestershire".
A country idyll, Bewdley is set in the glorious rolling countryside of Worcestershire with a superb choice of attractions; the River Severn; pretty market towns; an historic cathedral city; Britain's premier steam railway; stately homes; cottage gardens; country festivals; and the Wyre Forest, one of the largest areas of ancient woodland in Britain.
Grade II Listed, Sabrina Cottage has been beautifully restored and combines many original features; exposed beams, inglenook fireplaces, and dramatic shiny black and white chequered floor tiles along with many luxuries essential for modern day living.
The first floor holds the master bedroom charmingly furnished with a comfortable double bed, crisp Egyptian cotton sheets and a thick soft bedspread. The master bedroom over looks the River Severn. Opposite is the spacious bathroom which contains a large luxurious corner bath.
On the top floor is the second double bedroom which is built into the eaves and spans the entire width of the cottage with excellent views across the river.
Outside, the private south facing courtyard is the perfect place to dine alfresco or to escape from stresses of everyday life and soak up the sounds of paddling ducks and river bank living.
Step outside the front door and the River Severn provides many opportunities for walking, fishing, canoe and boat trips, rowing, regattas and river side festivals. The adjacent Wyre Forest also provides many possibilities for walking, cycling and horse riding. We are more than happy to organise any activities for you prior to, or during your break.
A less active way to see the beauty of the Severn Valley is from the comfort of a seat on a steam hauled train on the Severn Valley Railway, with many exciting events and steam galas taking place throughout the year.
West Midlands Safari park is another local attraction providing fun for all the family. A drive round wild animal safari with white tigers, a reptile house, a twilight cave, sea lion theatre, deer park, hippo lake and a variety of exciting theme park rides.
The town of Bewdley itself offers much to delight our guests, a good choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants are to be found around Sabrina Cottage. The historic 18th Century Church of St Anne dominates the main street with its many tiny shops, antiques, craft galleries and farmers markets.
