Peace and Tranquillity in the Scottish Borders.
Located within the heart of Scottish Borders, just a few miles West of the Picturesque Town of Kelso, Craggs Cottage (on Smailhholm Mains Farm) offers an ideal opportunity to unwind amidst the unspoilt splendour of the surrounding landscape, where soft rolling countryside and historic landmarks combine to create a wholly unique backdrop for a holiday.
Owned and run by Mr and Mrs Shaw on a family run farm. The cottage is located on Smailholm Mains Farm offering a high standard of accommodation that retains much of the unique character and charm of the locality.
Within walking distance of Smailholm Tower, a historic place to visit. The nearby town of Kelso offers visitors a wealth of tourist attractions and interesting places to see and visit, notably its cobbled square which conjures up an ambience and atmosphere that appears almost timeless in this day and age of high-speed modern life.
Craggs cottage itself is a cosy and comfortable farm cottage with an oil fired Rayburn cooker which also provides hot water and central heating throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave oven and washing machine. The living room has an open fire, colour freeview TV and Wi-Fi. The bathroom with a shower over the bath, and a single room can also be found downstairs. There is a super king size bedroom and a twin bedroom upstairs. Your bed linen and towels are supplied and a cot is available on request.
