Tavern Cottage is a stone built cottage, situated in the centre of the small quiet village of Newsham, overlooking the village green. The location is midway between Barnard Castle and Richmond.

The cottage has a multi fuel stove in the living room, ideal for summer or winter breaks. The double bedroom has twin beds. There are full amenities in the kitchen. The cottage is tastefully decorated to a high standard.

The village is an ancient settlement which pre-dates the doomesday book and has plenty of lovely walks and places of historic interest to visit, in nearby Richmond and Barnard Castle.

For those who enjoy fishing, there are the Rivers Tees and Swale.
There are some quaint character full inns and eating houses in the surrounding villages, hosting a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The Lake District is easily accessible and the east coast is just 1 hour away.
