Welcome to The Dairy at Daviot. A converted 19th century farm steading offering luxury self catering accommodation set on a private estate in the spectacular Highlands of Scotland. Run by a 4th generation farming family.
The Dairy's idyllic countryside setting close to the cosmopolitan City of Inverness, gateway to the Highlands with its excellent road, rail and air links, makes the Dairy the perfect place to explore the area's wealth of attractions, outdoor activities and breathtaking scenery.
Whether you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, a romantic break, a walking holiday exploring the staggeringly beautiful Highland scenery on foot or looking to take advantage of the numerous and diverse golf courses in the area The Dairy is the ideal place for you to stay.
The Dairy is ideal for an action packed family holiday with plenty to choose from, perhaps a spot of bottlenose dolphin-watching, a visit to see Mercedes the polar bear at the Highland Wildlife centre or take in some of the numerous castles in the area, Cawdor Castle near Inverness, Urquhart Castle overlooking Loch Ness and there is always the new Culloden Battlefield visitor centre to explore.
Our six luxuriously appointed apartments named after traditional dairy breeds, are arranged around the original cobbled courtyard and all of the apartments offer views onto the surrounding fields, woodlands, farm animals and wildlife.
As you approach The Dairy whatever the season you will be filled with a sense of tranquility and anticipation eager to explore at your leisure. A warm welcome awaits you on arrival we meet you personally and show you to your accommodation enabling us to share enough information to get your stay off to the best possible start. We are always close by to help during your stay.
All apartments feature two en-suite bedrooms and are made up as one super king sized double and one twin bedroom.
Simmental, Guernsey and Jersey, offer spacious open plan living and kitchen-dining area whereas Ayrshire, Friesian and Holstein have a separate living room and kitchen-dining room.
All apartments have a downstairs WC and storage cupboard.
Electric wall and storage heaters provide total control and keep the apartments warm and cosy. Fully equipped with crockery, cutlery and cookware, Whirlpool oven and electric hob, microwave, fridge-freezers, dishwashers, combined washing machine-tumble dryer, digital flat screen TVs with integrated Freeview and DVD players, digital radio and iPod docking stations, hairdryers, fluffy towels, luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen and Au Lait toiletries.
Our child friendly apartments offer the use of travel cots, highchairs, stair gates and we have an outdoor play area.
For family parties with more than two children, Simmental, Guernsey and Jersey can accommodate a Z-bed in the twin bedroom for a third child.
We welcome well behaved dogs in our Holstein and Ayrshire apartments.
The Dairy Café has combined old and new to create a quirky yet rustic eating venue, with lots of character and charm. Focusing on seasonal, local produce simply prepared on the premises, the Café provides fantastic all-day food.

Inverness Airport is located 9 miles east of the city, off the main A96 trunk road and operates regular flights to and from London, the Midlands, southern England, Northern Ireland, the central belt and the islands. Visit www.hial.co.uk/inverness-airport.html for information.
Good train links connect Inverness to the central belt, the rest of Scotland and the UK, visit www.scotrail.co.uk for information, while the main A9 trunk road is the principal route to the Highland capital. From the North, take the southbound A9 bypassing Inverness. After Bogbain Heritage Farm on your left, look out for The Dairy at Daviot signpost and the B851 for Croy. Take the B851 and drive approximately 0.3 miles until you reach The Dairy at Daviot signs on your right, after the white walls. Follow the drive to reception. From the South, take the northbound A9 for Inverness (but do not go as far as Inverness). Bypassing the signs for Moy on your right and Daviot on your left, take the slip road for the B851 signposted for Croy. Drive approximately 0.3 miles until you reach The Dairy at Daviot signs on your right, after the white walls. Follow the drive to the main reception building. |
