A very pretty little cottage, beside the sea near Glencoe, the most romantic and historic part of Scotland.
Please have a look at our website for our availability for the dates you want. We can connect you to 12 other top Glencoe properties if we are full. We are open all year round. This has been our own little family holiday cottage for 20 years.
Glencoe is the most romantic and historic of the Scottish glens. It has been called the 4th Wonder of Scotland. The villages are peaceful, people do not lock their doors at night, and are very friendly. The village shop is open every day until late. Life is lived as it should be, really.
We are surrounded by the most magnificent mountains, one grows up from our little garden at the back of the cottage. We are in between two winter skiing areas.
There is a good but inexpensive restaurant, overlooking the water just 400 metres away from the cottage. Fishing is from an ancient pier nearby. Special cycle tracks over the hills and along the coast are on our doorstep.
There are spectacular views and sea lochs everywhere, the wild life is exotic. There are eagles in the Glen, cruises to find whales nearby. Beaches for the children to explore, and ancient castles to visit, even mysterious 3,000 year old standing stones in the village nearby. There are easy walks and strenuous mountain climbs also.
The Highland towns nearby at Fort William and Oban have every facility you could want, supermarkets, good restaurants, good swimming pools.
Truly this is a lovely place, we promise. Occasionally we get horizontal rain, but then there are the marvellous waterfalls and rivers to wonder at.
Please come and be our guest.
John and Gillian
