Oystercatchers is a gorgeous Scandinavian-style wooden beach house right on the shingle at Seasalter, giving perfect views of the sea and surrounding coast.
It is ideally placed for coastal path walking and a haven for bird watchers. Whitstable harbour, where you can buy fresh fish, is an enjoyable two-mile walk away along the beach. The beautiful cathedral city of Canterbury is six miles away. There is a golf course a mile-and-a-half away, shops within three-quarters of a mile and pubs within 400 yards.
The large, slate-floored lounge/dining room/kitchen area is flooded with the warm coastal light and has French doors opening to the garden and the beach.
The master bedroom upstairs overlooks the beach with amazing sea views, enabling you to fall asleep to the soothing sound of the surf on the shingle. The upper floor has two further comfortable single rooms, a cot room and a loo with basin.
The ground-floor bathroom has a bath, shower, twin basins and lavatory, and there is a separate downstairs loo.
Parking; television; washer/drier; cot and highchair; linen, towels and fuel costs included.
Open all year. Short breaks available.

Take the A299 and fork left at exit strip for Whitstable on to A2990. Take immediate next left onto Church Lane; narrow lane with passing places. Continue to Seasalter Cross at bottom of hill and take left onto main road (Faversham Road). You will pass Best One Stores on your right, under railway bridge and Blue Anchor pub (on right). Continue along the coast and look out for the blue wooden house with two garages painted pink and blue, on your right.
