This cottage resides in a quiet courtyard in the village centre, where there are a handful of shops to cater for most needs, with the market town of Ambleside just 4 miles away.

Low Croft Cottage has been modernised to a very high standard and is set over 3 floors, with the living area on the first floor, to appreciate the outlook, and the bedrooms are on the top floor, where the views get even better.

The accommodation comprises; on the ground floor is a spacious, useful utility room, perfect for drying walking gear and storing mountain bikes.

An entrance lobby leads upstairs to the first floor open plan living area, with sitting room with 32inch LCD television and DVD player, dining area, and a well equipped kitchen with all you may need.

Upstairs again to the two bedrooms, with views out over Silver How and our famous Lion and Lamb.

The modern bathroom with shower is ideal for soaking away any aches and pains.

Grasmere has good cafés and restaurants, pubs for good ale and bar meals, plus several interesting art galleries and also the famous Grasmere Gingerbread Shop.

The beautiful churchyard of St. Oswalds holds the Wordsworth family graves and is a place of pilgrimage, while Dove Cottage Museum, William Wordsworths home for a time, and its surrounding cottages houses the worlds foremost collection of Wordsworth artifacts and documents.

This is a village to relax in and enjoy precious time exploring all this picture postcard area has to offer.

There are also numerous walks around the surrounding hills: Easedale Tarn and back (easy half-day)
Under Nab Scar and round Rydal Water (easy half-day)
Silverhowe (half-day, mild exertion)
Alcock Tarn (some strenous half-day)
Helvellyn via Tongue Ghyll (full day, some strenous)
Round the Lake (evening stroll)
not forgetting a row on the lake and picnic on the island.
Further afield, the attractions of the entire Lake District are never more than an hour's drive away.

You can park your car in the private space in the courtyard on arrival and not move it until you leave - there is so much to occupy your time.

Moss Parrock - the village green is close by, where you can sit and watch the world go by.
