Welcome to The Ard - New for Summer 2011
The Ard is a new build 2 bedroom holiday cottage on the captivating island of Great Bernera. It offers a setting in which to relax and appreciate the tranquility of island atmosphere.

It is only 5 mins from the beautiful beach of Bosta, which sites a reconstructed, fully working Iron Age house, and a Marcus Vergette art installation, The Time & Tide bell.

The Ard has been designed with the comfort of guests in mind. It is both spacious and well equipped and is the perfect choice for couples or families wanting to get away from it all and explore the wild and beautiful islands of the Outer Hebrides.

The house is located in a stunning setting and to make the most of this, the living room and kitchen have been positioned looking out to sea; patio doors lead out from the living room onto a decked area, where you can sit and relax while making the most of the view.

We have added some extra touches to ensure you are as comfortable as possible during your stay:

An Aga stove is in the living room, making sure the house is nice and cosy.

All beds are fitted with Kaymed spinal support mattresses aiming to reduce any pressure from build up leading to neck, back and joint pains during sleep.

The bathroom has a whirlpool bath with 21 jets (base, side, back and reflexology and 7 colours). The bath has a directional flow valve, allowing you to isolate various jets to help relaxation and focus in on certain problematic areas of the body. Just the thing at the end of a tiring day exploring the islands!
