Lock-View is a holiday apartment within an imaginatively restored stone house situated on the banks of the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, in the attractive village of Marsden, West Yorkshire and surrounded by picturesque, rugged Pennine moorland scenery as far as the eye can see!

Lock-View offers luxury accommodation for 2/3 people with all the facilites you might need to make your stay a comfortable and memorable one!

The apartment, 2 miles from the Pennine Way, and on the northern fringes of the Peak District national Park, is ideal for walkers and cyclists. Mid-week golf breaks are available on request. Tennis is also available in the village.

For those simply wanting to relax, the apartment faces outstanding views which can be enjoyed from the open conservatory should the weather prove to be a little inclement... and sitting out in the garden adjacent to the canal armed with a glass of wine just adds the something extra ... Maybe the spa in the locality will provide that extra bit of pampering?

It is 5 minutes walk from Marsden railway station, which gives easy access to sample the delights of Manchester and Leeds and exploring more of Yorkshire, for those wishing to abandon the car!

The apartment consists of a space serving as the bedroom and lounge together with a kitchenette with basic cooking facilities. It has an ensuite wetroom with w/c. It opens out into an open conservatory and garden - all the facilities you might need including space for wet coats and boots!

Wood floors, open fire and wood panelling are features, with a tiled floor with under-floor heating at the lower ground level, making it all very warm and comfortable!

Art works and photographs of Yorkshire and beyond by the owners add to the originality of the decor of the cottage.

The lower ground floor can be rented separately as "room only" for a single night as a "late deal" - which then includes a DIY continental breakfast! This is intended for walkers or cyclists who need a bed for the night as they "pass through"!
