Things to do in Bedworth, Warwickshire
Formerly a small mining town, Bedworth has grown considerably as a sought-after residential town largely due to transport links to major cities such as Coventry and Birmingham.
Bedworth's shops are mainly located within the small Town Centre, on the edge of which, you will find the "Miner's Welfare Park" known by locals as simply "Bedworth Park".
This park offers tennis courts, a golf course, a large cricket pitch, a children's play area and there is a Leisure Centre within the grounds offering a number of sports attractions such as swimming, aerobics and gym.
The Civic Hall in Bedworth Town Centre hosts a variety of performances as well as holding events such as an annual science fair.
There is also the Arts Centre next door, which holds a number of different theatre and art classes, many of which share their performances within the venue.
In the same vicinity is Bedworth's main library, which offers use of the Internet, holds "Bounce and Rhyme" sessions for babies and toddlers and is also the town's main source of tourist information.
