Things to do in Eriswell, Suffolk
Eriswell, Suffolk is a very historic village located between Mildenhall and Lakenheath. The focal point of the community is the church of St. Lawrence and Peter, which contains a large graveyard, including the grave of an American Indian brought to live in England after American missionaries sent him to Suffolk. There is also a war memorial dedicated to Suffolk soldiers of WWII.
Another great thing for you party-goers out there is The Chequers, Eriswell's local pub. It's always filled with interesting characters, and is a great place to go and hang out with your friends.
Sheep! Sheep, sheep, sheep. There are hundreds of sheep in Eriswell. Eriswell is a relatively small town, but the sheep are everywhere! People come from miles around to see the adorable young lambs in the spring.
Another great thing about Eriswell is the nature walk. It forks from the neighbourhood park and continues in several directions, leading to many places, including Mildenhall. There are swans, ducks, geese, pheasants, and deer to be seen everywhere on the walk. In the centre of the trail is a river, which is where most of the wildlife flock. It is a truly beautiful spot.
Overall, Eriswell is a small town, and almost everyone there knows each other, but for its size, Eriswell has a lot to offer.
