Things to do in Flackwell Heath, Buckinghamshire
Flackwell Heath is a bustling village on the edge of the Chiltern Hills. Once famed for its cherry orchards, its success now is having good schools and great transport links with London and the Midlands. Situated at the top of a hill, many properties on the edge of the village overlook stunning views over rolling hills.
The ease of access to commuter links ensures that the village will always be a desirable place to live. Property types and prices are wide ranging, the large number of smaller family houses go hand in hand with the desire of people to get access to the excellent schools - Juniper School and Carrington School.
Locally, a variety of shops cater for day to day needs. The local library and community centre are well supported and are an important part of the social structure of the village. Country walks are a popular pastime, and for the more energetic there are tennis courts, and Flackwell Heath football and cricket clubs. Not to forget the excellent golf course.
1 mile to the East is Loudwater. Access to the M40 junction 3. Tesco superstore and other large out of town stores.
3 miles to the East, Beaconsfield. A very highly regarded town with many high value properties, supermarkets, boutiques and restaurants.
2 miles South is Woburn and Bourne End - picturesque villages and access to the river Thames, train links to London Paddington.
4 Miles to the North, High Wycombe, excellent grammar schools, train links to London Marylebone and Eden, a new multi million pound shopping centre with top brand stores, 12 screen cinema and state of the art bowling alley.
