Kilcreggan is a lovely little village just 2 miles from Rosneath on the Rosneath Peninsula. There are fantastic views from the parking areas, where you can watch the ferry coming and going from the Kilcreggan Pier enroute to Gourock or Helensburgh. It is lovely to sit out at the picnic tables/benches and watch the sailing boats and the occasional submarine go by on their journey between the Faslane and Coulport Naval Bases.

My favourite day trip is going on the 16 mile circular route starting from Garelochhead and then heading through Mambeg, Clynder, Rahane, Rosneath, Kilcreggan, Cove, Ardpeaton, Coulport and then back to Garelochhead. The scenery is breathtaking so don't forget your camera!
