Marchwood has a sailing club and small Marina, it has a village centre with bakery, supermarket, Post Office, beauty parlour and hairdressers. There is also a fish and chip shop and a Chinese take away.
Marchwood has several recreational open spaces. It also has access to Southampton water shore where you can view many liners, cruisers and super tankers leaving for more distant shores.
Marchwood also has 3 churches. It is very close to the New Forest National Park. Marchwood has 3 pubs, one thatched and very foody and well loved by many around called the Pilgrim the other pubs also show sport at times. There are two schools also in the village.
