New England Cottage Bed and Breakfast assures you of a warm and friendly welcome and is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We are within easy reach of numerous gardens to visit such as NT Nymans, Wakehurst Place and you can walk to The High Beeches.
One room has its own entrance and shower room, and the other bedroom is in the cottage with a private shower/bathroom and a view over the forest.
You can relax in the lovely garden which boasts a large variety of wildlife, numerous birds and pheasants strut around and we often have a visiting woodpecker, even the occasional duck wanders up to the pond by the summerhouse.
There is a tea tray with various teas, fresh coffee and a televsion and a hairdryer.
Our breakfasts are as organic and local as we can make them with homemade bread, preserves and fruit.

Directions | |
From Handcross take B2110 following signs for The High Beeches. After the High Beeches Nursery on the right hand side, fork right signed to Balcombe alongside a large hedge on the right.
Turn right down lane very shortly afterwards. New England Cottage can be found second cottage on the right. From M23 heading south take 10a exit on to the B2036 and very shortly after The Cowdray pub on the left. Take the right turn B2110 signposted to Handcross. In less than two miles you will see a sign with a bend and turn off to the left, take this and then almost immediately turn right past the large hedge and into our lane. |
