9 Fun Things To Do in Reading For Adults

Although the Berkshire town of Reading isn't a famous tourism hotspot, the town has a surprising number of fun activities that adults will enjoy.

Here are 9 of our favourites:

TimeTrap Escape Rooms

Have you ever wanted to travel back in time?

TimeTrap Escape Rooms lets you enter a museum of time travel, and choose from three missions where you can explore a key moment in history and set things right.

But you'll need to hurry - you only have an hour before the time warp destabilises and traps you in the past forever.

Choose your time travel experience from:

Pudding Lane 1666: With The Great Fire of London raging, you need to brave the fiery streets to find out how it started before law and order breaks down in London.

Station X 1942: There's a spy stealing secrets from code-breaking centre Bletchley Park. Can you identify the culprit and retrieve the stolen decrypts before time runs out?

Curiouser & Curiouser 1871: Lewis Carroll is suffering from writer's block and there's a risk that "Alice Through the Looking Glass" may never get written. You'll be working inside Carrol's brain to fix his writer's block and save this classic of children's literature for future generations.

If the weather is good there's also Professor Pooch's Adventure - an outdoor escape-room-style puzzle adventure.

At Bozedown Alpacas you can walk an alpaca through the beautiful countryside on the edge of the Chilterns.

Your guide will be able to tell you all about these wonderful creatures and answer any questions you have.

You'll see hundreds of alpacas during your walk, and afterwards, you'll have time to wander along the laneways linking the paddocks.

Depending on the time of year, you may see baby alpacas (crias), fluffy alpacas awaiting shearing, or sleek recently-sheared alpacas.

Each person in your group can lead their own alpaca. Practical footwear is recommended as walks take place regardless of the weather and it can be muddy.
