Set in a farm of about 20 hectares, the main campsite field is sheltered all round with thirty level pitches. An additional field of sixty pitches is available in high season, with good views of the moors and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

The farm is situated in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and is an ideal base for walking, cycling or simply relaxing on site or in the village of Goathland, a few minutes walk away.

The farm is a mix of arable and livestock, so please keep dogs on a lead at all times. Access to additional viewpoints along the railway can be made by arrangement with the owners. Please do not trespass on the railway.

Goathland is served by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (station is about 15 minutes walk from the campsite), which runs along the valley from Grosmont, south to Pickering, a small but busy market town. There is a rail connection to Whitby from Grosmont.

Facilities:

Toilets/wash basins, wash-up sink and a chemical disposal point are located on the main site field. Drinking water taps are located at several points around the farm.

The main toilets, showers and wash-up sink are provided in the barn courtyard. This is located a short walk from the camping fields, under the railway bridge, next to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. See the site map for locations.


Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control at all times on the site and can be exercised off the site. Please clean up their mess - children about!

Please note we are a farm site, please bring appropriate footwear!
