Things to do in Newtoft, Lincolnshire
Newtoft is like an undiscovered gem in Lincolnshire, and that is part of its charm.
It is not a town or a village it is an Estate of ex-married quarters from the old RAF base, which is slowly becoming a village.
Newtoft does not boast an array of shops, a town hall or even a church - but what it does have is miles of fabulous countryside surrounding it.
With country walks, rivers and outdoor activities readily available. There are miles of footpaths, country lanes and a reservoir.
Newtoft's amenities at present are a Club House, which is supported by the residents of Newtoft (with many different activities) and a popular Sports Field.
Further Amenities are never far away, with Market Rasen only 4 miles and the city of Lincoln only 10 miles, also there is a varied array of villages surrounding Newtoft with many different facilities nearby.
Lincolnshire is brimming full of interesting days out and things to do and with a bus route into Newtoft, it is open to all.
Apart from all of the stunning countryside surrounding Newtoft, there is the quiet relaxation of the Estate - at night you can hear a pin drop, there is no traffic noise, no overhead crackling pylons, no yellow glow in the sky and no unsightly developments.
Newtoft is a tiny piece of history, a place that is up and coming and a community to be proud of being part of.
