Somerset

In the far north west of Somerset there is an old saying that goes along the lines of: ‘Culbone, Oare and Stoke Pero…Three Churches Parsons seldom go'.

These three small places of worship have found fame for different reasons. St Beuno's Parish Church in Culbone is widely recognised as the smallest, complete Parish Church in England.

An 800-year-old gem that measures one yard for each Disciple in length and one foot for each Disciple in width. It is only accessible on foot and requires as few as 33 Worshippers on a Sunday to fill it completely.

The tiny church is bordered by the coast path on one side, a fast flowing stream on the other and enjoys the company of two cottages set deep in the woods. It is truly a very holy place and well worth the walk.
